A directory becomes useful when people can recognize the task behind each entry. A short description explains whether a link opens email, documents, design work, or account settings. Categories and search provide different routes through the same collection.
Explain the access boundary
A link to an application does not create an account or assign a license. FITS keeps that distinction visible alongside its tool directory. Setup guidance gives people a place to begin when the destination is correct but their work access is not yet ready.
Keep guidance close to the tools
FITS also brings device guidance and technology policy into the same hub. The purpose is to make everyday resources and their responsibilities easier to find. Questions about access or company requirements should still go through the appropriate supervisor or company contact.
