Make the work the subject
Respectful feedback can be direct. Describe the decision, the concern, and its effect on the work without making assumptions about the person behind it. A clear disagreement gives people something they can discuss; a personal judgment usually does not.
Leave room for a different perspective
The person closest to a task may notice something a reviewer cannot see. Ask for context before treating a difference as a mistake. That does not mean avoiding decisions. It means making those decisions with the information people can contribute.
Connect the value to practice
Respect is one of Frameworks’ guiding values. It belongs in ordinary interactions as much as in a published statement: setting expectations, listening to concerns, and explaining changes. The DEI page provides the wider context for our commitment to respectful treatment.
