Know what your file contains

Army Flight Logbook advertises CAFRS import. Before using it, identify the report you have, its date range, and whether some of its flights are already in your account. Keep the original file unchanged so you can return to it if the imported results need review.

Army Flight Logbook product overview

Check the supported report before uploading

Use the current in-app import instructions for the accepted report and format. Do not assume every CAFRS export is interchangeable, or treat different Army form numbers as alternate names for the same document. If your file does not match the instructions, ask support which report to obtain before attempting workarounds.

Only upload records you are authorized to place in the service. A convenient import process does not change your responsibility to follow your organization’s information-handling rules.

Read the result, not just the success message

The official 2.0 release notes describe import progress, duplicate handling, and summary confirmation. Use the result to identify anything needing attention rather than assuming that every row in the source became a new flight.

  • Compare the earliest and latest dates with the source report.
  • Check several records from different parts of the import.
  • Review reported duplicates before retrying the same file.
  • Compare totals only after matching the aircraft, dates, and categories.

Resolve exceptions before repeating the upload

If a result is unexpected, record the filename, report type, date range, and error message. Avoid repeatedly submitting the same file without understanding what was already accepted. That makes the eventual review harder. Keep a note of the batch you have checked so later imports can begin from a known point.
