Begin with the management question

The developer’s public company-tracking discussion describes a broader view of aviator progress and status. Before considering setup, define the question your organization needs to answer and who is responsible for acting on it. A shared dashboard should support an existing responsibility, not create uncertainty about who owns a decision.

Confirm permissions and participation

Ask which roles can view, edit, invite, remove, and export member information. Confirm the current participation and access process directly with product support; do not treat an older social post as the current contract or configuration guide.

Before moving organizational information into a commercial service, obtain the approvals applicable to your environment. An available subscription or feature is not itself authorization to upload unit data.

Define what a useful report must show

List the specific fields and reporting periods needed for your review. Ask how incomplete records or stale member data will be identified. A summary can look comprehensive while containing gaps, so agree how individual records will be checked before decisions are made.

  • Who owns member-list accuracy?
  • Who verifies configured requirements and date ranges?
  • Which users may export the information?
  • How is access removed when responsibilities change?

Keep decision authority explicit

Treat product reports as information for review rather than automatic flight authorization. Establish the relationship to official records and unit procedures before rollout. A small, authorized evaluation can help clarify responsibilities and data questions before expanding use.
