Decide whether you want a career or aircraft view

A mixed-aircraft history needs more context than a single total. Start by deciding whether you want all recorded activity or only the aircraft relevant to a specific question. Keep that choice visible in your notes when comparing reports.

Army Flight Logbook’s older documentation distinguishes primary-aircraft and all-airframe views. It is useful background for the scope question, while current screen names should be confirmed in the app.

Check model names against the source

When importing older records, inspect the aircraft and model fields instead of assuming a familiar family name is specific enough. If the exact model is unavailable or a label appears unexpected, ask support about the supported entry rather than selecting the nearest-looking alternative.

Keep the source wording with your review notes. That gives you a reference if a model label is added or corrected later.

Do not confuse a filter with missing data

A record outside the selected aircraft scope may still exist in the account. Clear or broaden the view before attempting to add it again. Compare the aircraft selection, date range, and any other active filters together; more than one restriction can be affecting the list.

Preserve the reason for each comparison

Record which aircraft and dates you included when exporting a summary. The same history can produce several legitimate totals under different scopes. Clear labels make those reports easier to interpret later and reduce the temptation to alter records simply because two differently scoped views disagree.
