A progress total needs a defined period

A semiannual review starts with the period being measured. Before reading a progress display, compare its start and end dates with the period you intend to review. A recently completed period and the current period can contain many of the same-looking categories while answering different questions.

The product’s pilot-information guide explains that configured dates and entered minimums affect its calculations. The guide is older documentation; use the current app and support instructions for screen locations.

Pilot information and semiannual setup

Confirm requirements through the right channel

Enter the requirements applicable to you rather than copying another aviator’s setup. If your circumstances or approved requirements have changed, confirm the correct values with the responsible unit personnel. This article does not establish flight minimums, proration rules, or eligibility to fly.

Investigate a shortfall in the records

An unexpected number can reflect missing records, a date boundary, a category mismatch, or a genuine difference between recorded activity and the configured requirement. Check those possibilities separately. Start with a known flight inside the period, then look at flights near the beginning and end dates.

Use a discrepancy note that states the question plainly: which category, which period, what you expected, and which records support it. That is more actionable than a screenshot of a total without context.

Make the next review repeatable

Keep the period and configuration with your review notes. When a new period begins, confirm the dates again rather than assuming the previous view remains appropriate. A progress indicator supports record review; it does not replace official requirements or an authorized readiness determination.
